Entry into the Hall of Fame Would Cement A Long, Rich History For Women’s College Team From West Texas
From our last three attempts for the Flying Queens to be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, we learned that we had to aggressively and unrelentingly promote ourselves. We need “all hands-on deck” to help with publicity!
Please send or take the attached press release to your local news outlets and ask them to publish it. Also, visit our Facebook page and “like & share” the press release post with all your friends. The next week is critical in getting such publicity, so help us!
Also, the Hutcherson Flying Queens Foundation in conjunction with Wayland has hired a PR firm to help us get the word out. This is expensive! If you would like to contribute to this endeavor, please donate! Your donation is tax deductible.
We believe we have the best opportunity we have EVER had to obtain the Nomination (December), Finalist status (February), and then the actual INDUCTION in 2019 (March) but we need publicity right now. We must ACT and not be passive. We need your help in whatever manner you can give this effort. Please get back on the TEAM and help us with publicity and/or financial support!!
This is the most important action we can take to sustain the current Queens’ Program and permanently establish the Wayland Flying Queens’ history in women’s college basketball. NOW is the time to help.
