Flying Queens take 40-game streak into national tournament

By the time they take the floor again on Saturday, it will have been 476 days since the Wayland Baptist Flying Queens have lost a basketball game.

The Flying Queens have won 40 straight games, the second longest winning streak in program history behind only the 131-game streak of the 1950s that resulted in four consecutive AAU national championships. But the reason that that streak exists, and possibly isn’t even greater, is what continues to fuel WBU as the team prepares for the NAIA National Women’s Basketball Tournament.
