Barbara McAninch, Flying Queen 1965-69

“As a founding member of the Foundation, I felt that it was important to support the current Queens teams to attempt to give them the wonderful experience that I had enjoyed as a Flying Queen. It is also important to do our part to preserve the amazing heritage of the Flying Queens program so that when we are gone, it will be remembered that we made a difference in the history of this sport.

Our Story

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose members are all about the past, present, and future of women’s basketball at Wayland Baptist University. We actively support Wayland’s Flying Queens in continuting a legacy of excellence while also preserving the unique history that celebrates and informs the the evolution of women’s college basketball.
