Plainview, Texas – Megan Nestor had a record setting season in 2023-24 for the Flying Queens and received many honors for her play. Now, Nestor will have her jersey on display at the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Megan Nestor’s jersey will be on display in the “Ring of Honor” area of the Hall of Fame in recognition of her outstanding play in the 2023-24 season. The jerseys on display include high school and college All-Americans from all across the United States.
A statement from the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame described the “Ring of Honor” in this way:
“The Ring of Honor is one of our favorite displays at the Hall of Fame and has become one of our most popular exhibits. Not only does the Ring of Honor provide a colorful backdrop to the Hall of Fame’s many archives, but it is also our way of recognizing young women’s basketball players for their achievements in the sport. In doing so, we are fulfilling our mission to “honor the past, celebrate the present, and promote the future” of women’s basketball.”
Nestor, a 6’4 post from Canaries, St. Lucia, had a tremendous sophomore season in 2023-24. She averaged 15.9 points and 13.5 rebounds per game while shooting 56% from the field. Additionally, Nestor averaged 1.9 steals and 1 block.
Perhaps most impressively, Megan set three new Flying Queen records for rebounding. She broke the previous records of total rebounds in a season (previous record was 371, Megan had 417), rebounds in a single game (previous 20, Megan 24), and average rebounds per game in a season (previous 11.1, Megan 13.5).
Megan Nestor was named First Team All Sooner Athletic Conference and was also recognized as the SAC Defensive Player of the Year and earned NAIA Third Team All-American honors.
