PLAINVIEW, Texas – The Hutcherson Flying Queens Foundation (HFQF) invites golfers and supporters to its annual golf tournament on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the Plainview Country Club. The event will raise critical funds to support the Wayland Baptist University Flying Queens, one of the most legendary women’s basketball programs in the nation.
The tournament will be a four-person scramble format, providing a fun and competitive day for players of all skill levels. The entry fee is $125 per player or $500 per team, which includes the green fee, cart, lunch, and a participant gift bag. Prizes will be awarded to the top-finishing teams.
Sponsorships are available at the platinum ($3,000), gold ($2,500), and silver ($2,000) levels as well as numerous tournament goods and services sponsorships.
This year the tournament is offering 7 contests. Six happen during tournament play: 4 Closest to the Hole contests and 2 Longest Drive contests.
Especially exciting is the tournament raffle – open to anyone attending the tournament. In addition to several golf-related prizes, the grand prize is a 7-night Resort Stay for Two!
Event open to golfers and non-golfers – an informal reunion!
The weekend also provides a great opportunity for teammates to get together and reminisce about our time as Queens. Former Flying Queen players who don’t play golf are encouraged to arrive early to spend time with friends, volunteer at the golf tournament and attend the post-tournament luncheon.
