The Wayland Baptist Flying Queens have signed Linda Brice, a 5-foot-7 combo guard from Coweta, Okla. Brice joins the Flying Queens after playing at Frank Phillips College in Borger and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami, Okla.

“Linda Brice is dynamic scorer who plays a high octane style. Her ability to score at multiple levels will help the Queens push the tempo on offense and add much-needed pressure on the opposing perimeter players,” WBU coach Jason Cooper said.

Brice averaged 7.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists at NEO last season.

“We are so excited to add a high-caliber player like LB to our roster. She brings a great depth of experience and leadership to an already solid returning roster. I am excited to have her with us to carry on the amazing legacy of the Flying Queens.”

Brice joins previous signees Peyton North of Lubbock Cooper High School, Karleigh Gutierrez of Albuquerque, N.M., and Bobbie Fouquet of Claude High School.

In 2022-23, the Flying Queens finished the season with a 21-11 record. After placing fourth in the Sooner Athletic Conference standings, the Queens, ranked the equivalent of 35th in the NAIA, advanced to the SAC Tournament championship game. Their season ended in the first round of the NAIA National Championships with a narrow, 68-66 loss to Southern Oregon.
