Plainview, Texas – Megan Nestor, Bobbie Fouquet, and Linda Brice were selected to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division 1 Women’s Basketball All-Region teams for their play this season. Nestor was awarded All-Region First Team, Fouquet was named All-Region Second Team, and Linda Brice was named All-Region Third Team.
Nestor, the Sooner Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year, had a dominant sophomore season for the Flying Queens. She averaged 15.8 points per game, 13.5 rebounds per game, and she shot 56% from the floor. Nestor broke the Flying Queens single-season record for Total Rebounds with 417 (previously 281) and Rebounds per game.
Fouquet, the Sooner Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, had an outstanding freshman campaign for the Queens. She averaged 10.5 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per game while starting every game of her freshman season. Fouquet was also named All-Sooner Athletic Honorable Mention.
Brice, a junior from Coweta, Oklahoma, came to Wayland Baptist as a transfer and made an immediate impact on the Queens. She averaged 15.5 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, and 2.1 assists per game while starting every contest this season. Brice was also named All-Sooner Athletic Third Team.
